In addition to some of the reasons previously listed, such as increased chances of rust, cosmetic damage to your vehicle, and diminished value if you decide to sell your vehicle, there is one more HUGE reason to get your hail damage fixed. If your vehicle gets hailed on, and sometime in the future your vehicle is totaled for some other reason, your insurance will only pay you for the value of your vehicle MINUS the cost of the hail. So if you have a vehicle that is valued at $30,000, and it has $10,000 worth of hail damage, your insurance may only pay you $20,000 in the event that your vehicle is totaled out! But if you were to have that hail damage repaired when it happens, you are entitled to the full value of your vehicle in that situation.
